Long before I used Young Living Vitality Oils my family would take cinnamon and honey during the fall and winter months. We loved it to help with wellness during that time of year.
Anytime one family member didn’t feel quite as well as they could, everyone in the family would take a spoonful or two a day. A quick google search of honey and cinnamon will gives you all kinds of information on the benefits of it.
When I started using Young Living one of my favorite essential oils quickly became Thieves. We love it. I diffuse it during the fall and winter and we also love the Thieves mints.
Thieves Vitality Oil has a strong taste though. It is definitely a hot oil and no one in my family likes to just take a drop of it in their mouth. I learned though that I could easily stir a few drops into our favorite honey cinnamon mixture and everyone was happy.
We don’t take this daily. We just eat a spoonful or two a day when we feel like we aren’t quite as well as we could be. It is an easy way for the entire family to get a little extra boost during the fall and winter.
We aren’t really tea drinkers, but if you are stirring this into a hot cup of tea would also be a great way to take it.
Thieves Winter Wellness
- 1/3 cup honey, local honey is best
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 3-4 drops Thieves Vitality Oil
- In a small container or bowl combine ingredients. Stir until well combined.
- Take a spoonful once or twice a day or as needed.
Note: Avoid giving honey to children under 1 year of age. And although the honey makes it sweet it is also a bit of a “hot spicy” mixture because of the cinnamon and thieves, so use caution giving it to young children.
