For some people back to school begins in the next few weeks and for others it is the first week of September. No matter when it starts exactly though, it will be here before we know it. Summer is coming to an end.
Back to school means early morning rush, packing lunches, and hungry kids at the end of a long school day.
It is no secret that I love to cook. This is a good thing because I have three teens. One of which is a 6 foot 5 inch fifteen year old boy who is always hungry. Keeping easy to grab snacks and treats on hand is a must at my house.
I love incorporating Young Living Vitality Oils into my cooking. A drop or two added to a recipe adds so much flavor.
One of my favorite ways to add Vitality Oils to our food and snacks is in smoothies. Smoothies make a great snack. You can change them up and make them as healthy as you like.
A drop or two or orange, lemon, or lime Vitality oil adding to just about any smoothie is delicious. You can add it to almost any smoothie, but we love Copycat Orange Smoothie. It is easy to make for an after school treat.
Oatmeal cookies are always a great after school treat. My Oatmeal Cookies with Orange Vitality Oil are a simple, somewhat healthy treat that everyone is sure to enjoy. These work well for breakfast or lunchbox treats as well.
Chocolate and peppermint are a classic combination. In these Chocolate Peppermint Cups I combine dark chocolate, honey, and Peppermint Vitality Oil for a simple after school or lunch box treat.
I hope that helps make back to school snacks easier at your house!
